What do you get in return?

Aside from the exposure and organic traffic that our website gets on a daily basis, once your article gets published, it will also include your photo, bio, and a do-follow link ; ) back to a URL of your choosing.

This URL should be pointing to guitar or music-related content; in other words, no other industries or categories outside of those.

No keyword-optimized links are allowed on your author bio either.

Non-guitar owners who haven’t bought a guitar yet and people that are not guitarists themselves but are wanting to buy a guitar (or guitar accessories) for a friend or family member are also always visiting our content.

The writing tone is mostly informal with the use of first-person sentences; think two friends respectfully giving each other advice.

Now that you know a bit about our readers, you should have a better idea of potential topics you could write about.

Requirements and Submission Guidelines

– Headings

Your final draft should have at least 3 main headings and 5 subheadings in total.

Headings should be related and relevant to the main topic that is being addressed.

For example:

  • Heading 1: How to make money playing guitar?
    • Heading 2: Uploading guitar videos to YouTube
      • Heading 3: What types of guitar videos make more money on YouTube?
    • Heading 2: Becoming a guitar tutor
  • And so on…

As long as you keep your work as organized as possible for the reader and have some knowledge of SEO (Search Engine Optimization), you should be in good shape.

– Length

Articles should all be 2000+ words, no exceptions.

In case that all possible content for a specific topic has been covered in less than 2000 words, then you could start talking about other possible questions that readers might have.

This should be done as an FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) section.

Sentences should not exceed approximately 20-30 words, and paragraphs should not exceed two sentences.

– Images and videos

Your submitted contribution should have at least 3 images (with its source link) and at least one link to a helpful and related YouTube video.

Only use good quality optimized images that either you have full rights to, or are free to use from stock image sites such as Unsplash, Pixabay, or Pexels.

– Internal links to other content on our sites

This is very important as we will also be able to tell whether or not you have taken the time to check out our content.

Internal links could have mainly two different formats:

1. In-content links

These include links within your own content to other articles on our website.

2. ‘Read More’ links

You are welcome to create mini ‘Read More’ sections throughout your article.

The structure should be: Call To Action -> Benefits

I encourage you to read this article titled How To Travel With A Guitar Without Damaging It? It will give you a different insight on whether traveling with your guitar by car is safer than traveling by plane.

  • If it sounds obvious, don’t include it

As we have a length minimum of 2000 words, it can be very easy to start repeating your ideas just for the sake of fulfilling this requirement.

Content is important, so no filler sentences should be used at any time.

If you find yourself saying something very obvious to the reader, then it might be better to not say it at all.

For example:

As obvious as it might sound, you should practice in order to get better at playing guitar.

At the same time, we understand that for the sake of having a good transition of ideas, somethings should be said throughout the article to give an introduction to a new topic, this is more than fine to do.

Getting started

Before you go ahead and write your content, is more than recommended for you to reach out to us via email with at least 3 different titles.

If you want to go the extra mile, include some of the headings that you already might have in mind for each of your potential ideas.

As a rule of thumb, reach out to us from your company email rather than your personal email.

IMPORTANT: Please include the phrase “I read the guidelines, so I know cats can’t play guitar” so we know you’ve actually taken the time to read this thoroughly.

Step 3: Wait for us to read your email and get back to you

Wait at least 5 business days for us to read your ideas and get back to you.

We might even send you some ideas that we already have in mind.

Also, while we try to reply to every email that we get, if your email looks spammy, or feels like part of a mass email marketing campaign, it will be ignored.

Step 4: Write your article or content

After we get back to you, you can simply start writing your article.

By following our requirements and guideline you will position yourself in better shape to prevent back and forth revisions later on.

Step 5: Send the final draft and get published

After you’re done writing it, send it to us, and we will review it.

Make sure to include your author bio and your desired link pointing back to a guitar-related website or content.
